Hearing Center of Broward, Reputable Provider of Hearing Aids in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Introduces New Hearing Healthcare Website
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- It's not easy to find high quality information about hearing loss and hearing aids in Ft. Lauderdale. It's very common to be swamped with marketing flyers and advertisements for hearing aids in Ft. Lauderdale; especially if you are over age 65. Hearing Center of Broward noticed there was a need to offer superior, unbiased information and facts to individuals suffering with hearing loss. As a result, they developed a brand new website featuring educational content on hearing loss, hearing aids, tinnitus and assistive listening devices. The new website was built solely with education, not marketing, in mind. It was designed to include answers to all the questions that audiologists are commonly asked. It also has a blog area where the Hearing Center of Broward audiologists can post updates on hearing loss research breakthroughs, technological advances in hearing aids and other hearing healthcare news. The blog is also where they will post events where locals can come meet the audiologists and ask questions. The site is split into sections as follows:
The Hearing Info/Hearing Loss area of the website explains how the ear and brain work together to make hearing possible. Visitors will learn about how the ear and auditory system function and the kind of hearing impairment which results from problems in different areas.
The area on Hearing Aids offers visitors a complete overview of the benefits and drawbacks of different hearing aid types. Looking for hearing aids can be very confusing because of all the different acronyms used to describe the hearing aid styles (such as ITE for in-the-ear) and the complicated sounding technical capabilities (such as digital noise reduction). A little independent research to understand the major choices and terminology related to hearing aids really helps new patients ask better questions when they come in to see an audiologist. Completing the Hearing Aids section is information describing the many accessories that hearing aid users need such as cleaning supplies, dehumidifiers or batteries.
As well as the educational content, the website has a Services section with specifics about the major services offered at Hearing Center of Broward including Hearing Tests, Tinnitus Treatment and Hearing Aid Fittings. Dr. Cynthia Heise and the whole team at Hearing Center of Broward are very excited about the release of the new website and the role it can play in supplying high-quality hearing health care information to Ft Lauderdale residents. Hearing Center of Broward encourages comments and suggestions on further content and resources to add to the website to further improve it.
