Heilind Found Opportunities in The Indian Component Market
HONG KONG (PRWEB) December 24, 2015 -- After Heilind entered the component market in India for 3 years, Martin Kent, President Europe & Asia Pacific of Heilind Electronics Inc. talked about his views and the strategies being adopted by the company for the Indian market, in an interview with Sudeshna Das, Senor Executive Editor Electronics Bazaar.

With the strong growth in Indian economy and the attraction of foreign investment, Heilind found two big opportunities for Heilind in the Indian Component market. The first opportunity is to support existing customers who set up operations in India and the second one is able to generate new customers for Heilind with local Indian companies. Mr Kent realized that the major challenge of the India market is the size of the country. Heilind needs to invest in all of the key areas but that is also the unique advantage. The growth potential of India is probably one of the largest in Asia.
As the industry’s pre-eminent interconnect distributor, with the largest inventory of connector products in North America, Heilind focuses on Interconnect and Electromechanical products with a strategy of carrying inventory in depth and breadth, selling to all customers irrespective of their size, having no MOQ or MLV, and offering a range of value added services. The company growth strategy is continuing to invest in sales and marketing personnel plus offering customers the chances to purchase via internet through the Heilind EStore. Mr. Kent said “We intend to position Heilind in India exactly the same way as we have done in other Asian countries, North America, and Europe. Heilind has no a particular focus and sells products to all market segments. This is Heilind’s philosophy. As Mr. Kent explained, “Our focus in one region can be different to our focus in another and eventually we are still covering all the different segments”.
Mr. Kent emphasized that Heilind’s uniqueness is our concentration on “Interconnect and Electromechanical products and our approach to carrying a very wide range of inventory on these products to ensure that we can service the majority of our customer requirements from stock”. “Besides warehouses in North America, now we have warehouses in Singapore and Hong Kong. It helps us to ensure faster delivery and service in India”. In addition, “we also work closely with our key suppliers to ensure we introduce their new components to our customers and support them with inventory investment on all these products”.
In order to build long and mutually beneficial relationships with all Indian customers, Heilind offers the same service to all its customers, whether they are OEMs or Contract Manufacturers, and whether they are large or small.
