Helix Electric Announces the Promotions of Brady Hill, Jason Pengel and Greg Schniegenberg to Vice President
San Diego, California (PRWEB) April 03, 2015 -- On April 3, 2015 leading electrical contractor, Helix Electric, announced the appointments of Brady Hill, Jason Pengel and Greg Schniegenberg to the positions of Vice President. All previously served as Operations Managers at Helix Electric with the primary responsibility of overseeing numerous, unique and complex projects nationwide. As Vice Presidents, they will continue providing Helix’s clients with superior value and innovative solutions while playing an integral role in shaping the company’s future.

Brady Hill began his career with Helix Electric in 1999 in the Electrical Distribution Group on a $40 million design-build prime contract at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. During his tenure in in operations, he delivered large complicated projects for clients including the construction of universities, port authorities, airports, hospitals and military installations in various locations throughout the country and Guam. Mr. Hill currently leads the Distribution Group out of the San Diego office, focused on growing the business in substation, medium voltage microgrid distribution, and utility scale renewable energy projects nationwide. He is an active member of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) - San Diego chapter, serving as Chair of the Legislative and Political Action Committees since 2012. Mr. Hill also serves as an industry advisory board member to the University of Cincinnati’s College of Engineering & Applied Science. He is a leader of innovation and organizational improvement, spearheading several technological advancements and operational efficiency measures at Helix. Mr. Hill is a certified Design-Build Institute of America design-build professional, a LEED® Building Design and Construction Accredited Professional, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati.
Jason Pengel has nearly 10 years served with Helix Electric and leads the company’s Sacramento area office. In addition, he currently oversees two major joint-venture projects, the US Stratcom Replacement Facility in Omaha, Nebraska and the Ft. Bliss Replacement Hospital in El Paso, Texas. These projects represent a combined total of over $1 billion in contract awards, 2 million sq. ft. of new construction and feature state-of-the-art medical technologies and complex systems supporting critical, high-security operations. Some of the additional notable projects managed by Mr. Pengel include construction of the Sacramento International Airport terminal modernization, UC Davis Medical Center Surgery and Emergency Services Pavilion expansion, California Independent System Operator Data Center and Office Complex, San Francisco State University J. Paul Leonard Library and Sutro Library expansion and remodel, Laguna Honda Hospital remodel, San Francisco War Memorial Auditorium remodel, California Health Care Facility, Stockton as well as multiple other projects for the University of California System and the Administrative Office of the Courts. He obtained a degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California – Davis and is a LEED® Building Design and Construction Accredited Professional.
Greg Schniegenberg started with Helix Electric in 2000, spending his first year working in the San Diego office before being relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to help support and grow that market in 2001. Mr. Schniegenberg is currently serving as an ABC National Board Member and as the ABC Northern California Board Chairman Elect. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Schniegenberg also served as the Chairman of both the Training Trust and Unilateral Apprenticeship Committee for ABC NorCal and the Western Electrical Contractors Association. In addition to his association involvement, he donated his time to teaching construction management at the community college level and as an electrical instructor for the Construction Craft Training Center. He was also appointed by the San Ramon City Council to serve a two year term as Traffic Commissioner. Mr. Schniegenberg directed the Helix-wide LEED® certification effort and assisted in the development of the company’s flagship training program – Helix University. His notable projects include the North Island Commissary & Naval Amphibious Facility, Travis Air Force Base Flight Simulator and distribution upgrades, Berkley Library, Graham Hill Water Treatment Plant-Santa Cruz, Marine Meteorology Building Monterey, Advanced Light Source User Support at UC Berkeley, San Jose State Dorms Phase I & II, San Francisco State University Wellness and Recreation Center, and the construction of over 10,000 high density, residential mixed-use podium and wrap projects. Under his direction, Helix’s presence in the Northern California region continues to grow exponentially. Mr. Schniegenberg is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, holding a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and is a LEED® Building Design and Construction Accredited Professional.
