Helo Commercial's Sauna and Steam Continuing Education Course Now Approved for Interior Design Credit

The course, offered at no charge through AEC Daily, provides an overview and explanation of what sauna, steam, and far-infrared saunas are, where they are frequently installed, and design considerations and guidelines, including common options. Starting with definitions of sauna, steam, and infrared heat bathing, the course’s goal is to clarify the types of heat bathing available in order to help identify which product best meets the needs of a customer or facility. Sauna, steam, and infrared are often misused interchangeably when each has its own distinct properties. A comparison of the rooms is also provided to help understand the similarities and differences of each beyond the basic definitions.
After identifying the three types of heat bathing, the course provides examples and recommendations of each type of product within the three categories to help an architect, designer, or contractor better understand which solution is most appropriate for their project. While crossover exists between products, knowing the most common installations of each type based on project helps to narrow the selection process to make designing and specifying easier. The course includes sizing guides to reference for approximate occupancy and power suggestions.
Upon completion of the course an online assessment is provided and with a passing score, the continuing education unit is automatically reported to the organization with which the designer or architect is affiliated. Combined with Helo Commercial's library of drawing files and specifications available for download, this course prepares designers for their next sauna and steam project.
