Hercules Star Kevin Sorbo Joins Fluitec in Helping Consumers Measure Antioxidant Levels
Jersey City, NJ (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Fluitec Consumer Products, LLC announced today that actor Kevin Sorbo, who is best known for his television portrayal of Hercules, and Fluitec have reached an agreement for Sorbo to become partial owner and spokesperson for the company’s recently introduced antioxidant testing kit, TestME™.
Sorbo learned about the product at an event during the American Music Awards last November in Los Angeles.
"I’m a firm believer in what the guys at Fluitec are doing with the TesTMe kit," said Sorbo. "I am looking forward to working together to build a great brand and help a lot of people understand and measure what’s going on with antioxidants in their body. Knowing that can make a big difference in a number of ways."
Frank Magnotti, Fluitec CEO said, "We’re very happy to have Kevin as a partner, and know that he’s a perfect fit for the brand and our products. More important than the obvious star quality is Kevin’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle, understanding and belief in the product and the dedication to educating children."
Fluitec's consumer business builds on the success of its patented RULER View™ technology, which provides the full picture of a fluid's antioxidant additive health, a critical part of an effective condition monitoring program. Fluitec currently has technology deployed in over fifty five countries spanning five continents.
Oxidative stress, caused by free radicals, can be brought on by a number of factors including diet, lifestyle and genetic disposition, leading to premature aging as well as a host of diseases including Alzheimer’s.
The TestME™ Kit is based on the concentration of Malondialdehyde (MDA) as a proven, valid biomarker to indicate oxidative stress. TestME™ determines the amount of MDA and other aldehydes in urine. Results are expressed in the test sample’s color: the darker the color, the higher the level of free radicals. After making adjustments to either diet or lifestyle, consumers can continue to monitor their progress through the test results.
The TestME™ Kit is currently available only on line at http://www.testmekit.com. The company is beginning preproduction for educational television and online content for distribution beginning in late February.
