HFA Named an ENERGY STAR Service & Product Provider
Bentonville, Ark. (PRWEB) April 19, 2017 -- HFA (Harrison French & Associates, LTD) has been named an ENERGY STAR Service and Product Provider, solidifying the firm’s commitment toward sustainable design and environmentally friendly projects and enhancing its energy and building commissioning services for clients.
HFA’s voluntary partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program means HFA will be working toward helping their clients improve the energy efficiency and performance of their facilities. HFA’s services include the ability to provide an energy audit and utility bill review of a facility to determine if it meets the benchmarks required to be certified as ENERGY STAR compliant.
“Being named a provider shows we have a proven track record for being able to audit and certify our client’s projects as ENERGY STAR compliant,” said Scott West, P.E., LEED-AP and a mechanical engineer in HFA’s Fort Worth office. West performed an audit pro bono for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas building in Fort Worth as part of the application to become an ENERGY STAR Service & Product Provider.
“Providing quality design is one of our core values at HFA which, in being an integrated architectural and engineering firm, provides us the opportunity to design buildings in a holistic, collaborative and effective way,” said Larry Lott, President/COO AIA, LEED AP BD+C. “We pride ourselves on being sensitive to the environmental impacts of sustainable and energy conscious design decisions, which in turn provides potential cost savings for our client’s operational costs of their facility. We look forward to expanding and utilizing our staff’s expertise for the benefit of our clients as well as for our environment.”
HFA’s participation in the ENERGY STAR program is just one way the firm is committed to sustainable architecture and engineering. The firm also has several LEED-certified staff and projects, and it achieved LEED-CI Gold for its Bentonville headquarters. The ENERGY STAR certification services will be available along with the energy and building commissioning services the firm already provides.
In partnership with ENERGY STAR, HFA will help clients:
• Measure and track energy performance of their facilities at all locations.
• Set a goal to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings by 10% or more, in support of the ENERGY STAR Challenge
• Encourage staff and the community to learn about the benefits of energy efficiency and to implement appropriate energy efficiency measures
• Encourage other companies with which HFA works to join ENERGY STAR and take the ENERGY STAR Challenge.
