HGH Infrared Systems’ Spynel-S Camera Shines at Prestigious Design Exhibition in Paris
Paris, France (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- HGH Infrared Systems, a leader in wide-area panoramic surveillance thermal imaging systems, was recently nominated to be part of the “Observeur du Design” exhibition that is held each year in Paris, France. The exhibition, which opened its doors on November 16th and runs through March 2014 at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, awards companies with the most innovative and creative designs across all spectrum of industries. Inaugurated in 1999 and open to the public, the Observeur du Design exhibition aims to recognize the indispensable differentiating factor that design holds within international competition.
HGH Infrared Systems, with their North American headquarters based in Cambridge, MA, received the “Label de l’observeur du design” award for their most recent Spynel-S design. Spynel-S is an innovative, panoramic thermal camera with automatic intrusion detection and tracking capabilities. Working in collaboration with two design agencies-DICI Design for the design of the Spynel-S and NoDesign who worked on the new Cyclope 3.5 software- HGH’s new impressive model will be on display at the science museum for the duration of the exhibition. After having been previously presented with the Euronaval 2010 award for innovation and the 2012 Govies award for performance of the Spynel, this most recent nomination for design indicates another way in which the Spynel is at the top of the perimeter security industry. “As Spynel is a passive undetectable surveillance system, it was important to find the ideal design for the camera to blend into its environment. The visual interface of the Cyclope software, which processes the panoramic images, was enhanced to be intuitive and reduce operator strain. We are very proud that these efforts have been recognized,” stated Gildas Chauvel, Marketing Manager for HGH Systemes Infrarouges in France.
