Hicks Nurseries Showcases “Gardens of America” at its 26th Annual Flower & Garden Show
Westbury, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2016 -- This year Hicks Nurseries’ Flower & Garden Show celebrates “Gardens of America.” Visitors to the 26th annual Flower Show will discover gardens that celebrate the unique landscapes of the United States. The show, which runs March 3-20, 2016, is free and indoors. It is open Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday-Sunday 8am-8pm.
“Gardens can be as diverse as the landscape of our great country,” said Nelson Demarest, Visual Merchandising Manager of Hicks Nurseries. “The gardens of our 2016 Flower Show demonstrate how homeowners can easily create the look of their favorite vacation destinations here in their Long Island Garden.”
Garden displays will include:
The “Southwest Garden” pays tribute to the lush, tropical romance that can be found in the city of New Orleans. Towering palm trees and colorful foliage surround a courtyard that features a grand fountain.
The “Pacific Northwest Garden” is centered around a towering waterfall and tall green trees. The restful design also features a contemplative Zen garden as well as the artistic influence of the Seattle area.
The “Southwest Garden” showcases a stone fire pit and rustic arbor. Beautiful drought-resistant succulent plants, which are perfect for hot, dry areas provide just the right amount of texture and color.
Visitors will feel at home as they stroll through the “Northeast Garden.” This familiar presentation is bursting with colorful annuals and perennials which surround a cedar shingled cottage.
During the 2016 Flower & Garden Show, Hicks will feature more than 20 free seminars about popular gardening concepts including organic lawn care, container gardening, pruning and more.
