Hidrex USA Attends 13th Annual SDPA Fall Dermatology Conference in Florida
Sugar Land, TX (PRWEB) December 03, 2015 -- From Nov. 12 to Nov. 15, Hidrex USA participated in the 13th Annual SDPA Fall Dermatology Conference to network with other medical professionals, all of whom have the same goal of Hidrex USA to treat hyperhidrosis as effectively as possible.
The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) holds the conference twice a year. This year's fall event was held at the Loews Portofino Hotel in Orlando, FL. Hyperhidrosis experts from all over the country meet at the conference to swap ideas, learn about new products, and raise awareness of the often misunderstood condition.
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, affects about 3% of the population. Conferences like this provide medical professionals with the opportunity to congregate and work together to improve treatment options. Hidrex USA offers a highly-advanced treatment option, iontophoresis, which is extremely helpful for those with hyperhidrosis of the hands and/or feet.
This year, Hidrex USA decided to participate in the conference to educate peers on their product and get some feedback on its performance. Chris Ligi, director of sales for Hidrex USA, said that it was a great opportunity to get in front of dermatology PAs and display the many benefits of their iontophoresis treatment device.
"We were pleased with the turnout and reception we received while at the conference. We look forward to participating in many more SDPA conferences in the future," said Ligi.
Hidrex USA initially heard about the conference through one of their partners and immediately became excited to attend. The company had their own exhibit booth at the conference, and Ligi attended lectures throughout the week while also contributing to a hyperhidrosis workshop.
Ligi said that conference attendees had a great response to their treatment method and the company received an excellent reception to their product and general presence at the event. The booth was swarmed during exhibit hours, allowing Hidrex USA to further raise awareness of iontophoresis as a viable and cost-effective treatment method for hyperhidrosis.
Now that they've been able to present their company and product to like-minded professionals, Hidrex USA believes that dermatologists will have more successful options to treat hyperhidrosis patients, where in the past their options were limited for treating areas such as hands and feet.
Ligi added that the company is excited to attend the upcoming SPDA Summer Dermatology Conference as well, and the company plans on attending future conferences going forward.
