High Focus Centers to Open Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Center in Camden County
Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) July 29, 2016 -- Having successfully treating thousands of individuals struggling with mental illness and/or addiction over the past twenty years, High Focus Centers announced it will soon be opening its seventh outpatient treatment location in Cherry Hill, NJ. Adults and adolescents in the Camden County area will have access to intensive outpatient and partial care programs designed to help clients and families overcome their challenges with mental illness and substance abuse in the least restrictive setting possible.
High Focus Centers first opened in Bergen County in 1994 and has since become a fixture in communities across central and northern New Jersey. In 2015 alone, High Focus treated well over 4,000 individuals, giving the organization a unique viewpoint of evolving substance abuse and mental health trends in each of the communities in which it operates. Among these trends is a sharp increase in the number of individuals seeking help with an addiction to heroin or prescription painkillers.
“The risk associated with heroin and opiate abuse is profound,” states Director of Marketing, Dan Gellman. “When we work with clients and families affected by opiate addiction, mitigation of that risk is a central theme in every part of the treatment regimen.”
The challenge facing New Jersey continues to get more difficult. According to the Office of the State Medical Examiner of New Jersey, the heroin death rate in 2014 rose to 7.5 per 100,000 deaths.
“Certain factors make an individual extremely prone to relapse and overdose, such as age, presence of a psychiatric diagnosis, and lack of family involvement,” continued Gellman. “Our Opiate Protocols seek to identify the clients at who are most at risk and introduce targeted and evidence-based interventions that give them the best chance at a successful recovery.”
The trends seen across the state have brought High Focus Centers to the metropolitan Philadelphia area, where they will look to further partner with state and local agencies working towards improvements in behavioral health and addiction trends. The dually licensed, substance abuse and psychiatric treatment program seeks to provide a setting where individuals who are suffering with depression, anxiety, and other symptoms of mental illness are also able to find hope and recovery. For an organization with a long history of doing just that, the anticipation is building.
The new site is located at 53 Haddonfield Road, Suite 330, and is set to open in early August.
