High School Girl Joins Seraphs in Battle Against Hellhounds in New Fantasy Series
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 29, 2017 -- Bridget Warwick’s life is forever changed when she finds out her family’s history. With the help of her high school friends, Bridget must protect her own life as well as her friends’ as they overcome obstacles – the source of which may not even be human – in Madison Ginter’s debut book, “The Revery: Book 1” (published by Archway Publishing). The book is a first in a planned series.
In her fantasy novel, Ginter weaves mythical creatures such as seraphs and hellhounds with real-life threats such as cults. Throughout the narrative, Bridget must come to accept her special gifts and purpose as she and her friends join the seraphs to fight the hellhounds in a battle for the greater good.
Ginter, who is a teenager herself, says that her own life lends an authenticity to the social struggles and the interactions Bridget must encounter in addition to the fantastical barriers that await her.
“It encourages individual thoughts and ideas in a world that is so full of conflict and how hard it can be an individual,” explains Ginter. “It also shows current societal trends such as how the characters talk and interact with each other. The authenticity of the teenagers helps create a sense of reality that makes the fantasy blend into the natural surroundings more, it’s sort of camouflaged until it takes control of the whole book.”
