Highly-Anticipated Kestrel Applied Ballistics Shooting Meter Is Now in Stock, Announces KestrelMeters.com
Birmingham, MI (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- Kestrelmeters.com, an official retailer for Kestrel Pocket Weather Meters, is now offering a new line of ballistics meters - the Kestrel 4500NV. Brian Litz from Applied Ballistics teamed up with NK, the manufacturer of Kestrel Weather Instruments, to introduce the Kestrel 4500NV with Applied Ballistics (AB) software.
In addition to the 15 environmental factors measured by all Kestrel Meters, the Kestrel 4500NV AB will allow long-range shooters to accurately measure bullet trajectory at the range. This new 4500NV model represents significant differences to the previous Horus line of ballistics meters due to its new truing application, and its ability to measure trajectory based off of both G1 and G7 ballistic coefficients. Additionally, the model features over 200 ballistic coefficients from the renowned and trusted “Litz” library of commonly used long-range bullets, which may be loaded into the meter via its included software.
The Kestrel 4500NV also has optional Bluetooth functionality, which enables shooters to connect the meter automatically and wirelessly to their laptop or PDA for reliable, real-time ballistics data in the field. The new truing application allows the 4500NV’s software to calibrate to a specific rifle based on observed impacts at long range, making the 4500NV the most personalized and accurate handheld ballistics meter to date.
Robert Smith, spokesman for Kestrel Meters, had this to say about the announcement: “We are very eager to get the Kestrel 4500NV Ballistics Meter into riflemen’s hands. The previous Horus model quickly became the long-range shooter’s best friend when it was released, but we strongly believe that the 4500NV’s gun-specific metrics, with its built-in “Litz” library and new truing mechanism, will truly be in a class of its own.”
The Kestrel 4500NV will be available in two colors, Olive and Desert Tan, at KestrelMeters.com starting July 26th.
