HIPOWER SYSTEMS Announces New Training Program For Distributors
(PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced a new distributor training program that will ensure customers reap the most possible benefit from their equipment investments. Beginning in 2014, HIPOWER will schedule structured factory training dates, in addition to customer-site training events.
“When a customer or dealer purchases a product and needs training, or hires new mechanics that don't understand our equipment, they often contact HIPOWER for more information," said HIPOWER SYSTEMS Director of Product Support Darryl Rider. "Previously, these training sessions were scheduled on an as-needed basis. The new program will give us a more systematic, comprehensive training strategy."
In September 2013, HIPOWER held one of its first factory training events for distributors from the United States and Canada as well as end users who had not previously received training.
The two day event featured training on topics ranging from basic electrical terms and theory to parallel operation. It also included introductions to HIPOWER products, included information regarding various controller options, engine overview, and a factory tour. The second day included a classroom session detailing basic troubleshooting and hands-on sessions demonstrating basic operations and troubleshooting.
"The pre-scheduled factory training sessions offer a better value for our distributors and customers because we can plan for and control the learning environment," said Rider. "However, if a distributor wants regular training classes—for example, every quarter—HIPOWER will work with them on their desired dates, location (factory or on site), and number of attendees, and then we’ll schedule accordingly,” said Rider.
