Palisades, NY (PRWEB) June 17, 2015 -- History Publishing Company of Palisades, NY has signed a two book contract with Pat Muth to write "The Story of the Ross Perot \Movement." The book will describe the sudden eruption of grass roots fervor that gave rise to the unplanned Ross Perot Movement in 1992. Springing from a television appearance by Perot on the Larry King Show, the movement took form as "United We Stand America" spanning fifty states. A Foreword will be written by Russel Verney, Perot Campaign Manager in 1996, and Executive Director of "United We Stand America."
The author will describe how a movement, borne of hope at the grass roots level spread with joyous fervor by people feeling disenfranchised by the governing powers, wanted to take their country back, and had found a leader who could make that happen. Of particular interest is the method in which a campaign platform developed, the rise of unpaid volunteers to fill the necessary slots often at great inconvenience and expense, and the high energy drive and ingenuity used to get Ross Perot on the ballot in the fifty states, an effort to which 20 percent of the American electorate responded. Included too is Ross Perot’s posture and examination of the North American Free Trade Agreement. The book will be published in November 2015.
"The Story of the Ross Perot Movement," subtitled, "Working to Take Back America," is an examination of a singular political happening that almost brought a change to the American political balance. Author Pat Muth saw it from the inside as an early supporter of Perot and a State Director of the national campaign. She is an author, former radio personality, floor trader on the Chicago Mercantile and the Communications Director of the Chicago Board of Education. She is a graduate of Marquette University.
