HNTB Names Infrastructure Expert Arman Farajollahi as Principal Tunnel Engineer
NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 22, 2014 -- Arman Farajollahi, PE, joins HNTB Corporation in its national tunnel office as principal tunnel engineer. He will provide senior-level technical expertise on major projects and pursuits as well as lead technical staff on projects. He is based in New York City.
Prior to joining HNTB, Farajollahi was technical leader for AECOM. He joins other recent additions to the tunnel practice, including Raymond Sandiford, PE, F.ASCE; Thomas Richardson, PE; Ruben Manuelyan, PE; Mark Ramsey; and Heiner Sander in meeting the expanding tunneling and underground needs of HNTB’s national and international infrastructure clients.
Farajollahi’s experience includes more than 22 years in analysis, design and construction management of tunnels and underground construction — in both soft ground and hard rock — for transportation, wet infrastructure and hydropower projects.
He has provided engineering support services during design and construction of more than 30 infrastructure projects located in United States, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Africa. Additionally, he has served as an on-site engineer for construction management of design-build and design-bid-build projects.

Farajollahi received a Master of Science in civil engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in engineering geology from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He also received a Bachelor of Science in geological (mining) engineering from Tehran University. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, Maryland and Washington, D.C. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
