HockeyTech Announces Management Promotions
Waterloo, Ontario (PRWEB) September 10, 2015 -- HockeyTech, the worldwide leader in hockey technologies, analytics and information services, today announced several promotions and changes to its organizational structure to best manage the rapid growth it has been experiencing. The following executive team promotions are being made at the parent company:
Stu Siegel – Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Marc Ruskin – President
Jim Price – Chief Operating Officer
Cary Moretti – Chief Technology Officer
Linda Buth – Chief HR Officer
HockeyTech has experienced significant growth since its founding in late 2012, which has accelerated in recent months. The company has made five acquisitions to date and has been privileged to retain four of those company’s founders.
“With five ‘CEOs’ in our organization, it is imperative to make sure that the HockeyTech team is aligned to service our customers as a singular organization”, comments HockeyTech founder Stu Siegel. “We have an all-star team of hockey technology pioneers, each with unique strengths that will continue to deliver excellence to our worldwide customer base while managing our rapid growth.”
HockeyTech recently relocated to new offices in tech-centric Waterloo, Ontario, a strategic decision designed to accommodate its growth plans. Customers will benefit from an integrated dashboard as the company continues to combine its products and services. The company remains focused on creating new capabilities that are only possible by the blending of acquired companies’ systems. In addition, HockeyTech Analytics, the company’s recently announced live player and puck tracking system, will be used in game action by the University of Waterloo hockey teams this season. The technology is being installed at other arenas this season as well.
Stu Siegel will remain focused on the overall strategy and vision for HockeyTech, while Marc Ruskin will oversee the day-to-day operations and sales initiatives for the company. Ruskin joined HockeyTech in April with the company’s acquisition of FASTHockey, which he founded in 2005.
“I am excited to take on this new challenge, after working for over a decade to build FASTHockey,” said Ruskin. “Stu challenged our executive team to create a strategic plan for growth, and we all came together with an organizational structure to rapidly build an exciting company poised to make a difference to the hockey world.”
