Holiday Lanes Offers New Team Building Activities for Meetings and Conventions
Shreveport-Bossier, LA (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Recognizing that a well-planned meeting often results in new ideas and increased momentum that can be channeled into productivity and teamwork, Holiday Lanes, located at 3316 Old Minden Road in Bossier City, has expanded its array of bowling events and activities to include the Play Therapy package that offers meeting participants the opportunity to build teamwork, create recognition, exercise, reduce stress and have fun.
According to the Destination Hotels and Resorts Meetings and Groups State of the Industry research, more than half (54%) of survey respondents indicated that active team building options were of the greatest interest during conventions and meetings. Other options that received significant interest include culinary, wellness, cultural and community service activities.
The brainchild of Robin Williams, marketing director at Holiday Lanes, Play Therapy is designed to promote teamwork among meeting attendees in a fun, active and non-traditional way. “It’s not all about bowling really. It’s about building camaraderie among participants and creating a productive and motivated team environment,” said Williams.

In the Play Therapy package, the “Play Therapist” will host the 2-3 hour event that will consist of meeting, dining, professional photography for the event, and play therapy events. Play Therapy typically consists of bowling, darts and video games.
The event culminates with buffet-style dining, an awards ceremony and closing. Catering for events can be provided by the Tin Pin Lounge located inside Holiday Lanes or can be brought in from outside vendors.
