Holiday Lights is Back at Lake Compounce Starting November 25
Bristol, CT (PRWEB) November 16, 2016 -- Lake Compounce is proud to announce the return of “Holiday Lights” on November 25 for its 5th annual season. This is New England’s favorite seasonal holiday themed family event, taking place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings November 25 – December 18.
Lake Compounce’s Holiday Lights event features the tallest Christmas Tree in Connecticut. The 100-foot tall decorated tree will reign over the main gates of the park with hundreds of thousands of lights and decorations. A ceremonial lighting of the tree will be held nightly at 5pm on Fridays and 4pm Saturdays and Sundays. Each evening, a different special guest will light the Christmas tree. Guests can find a schedule naming the special guests on the park’s website.
Holiday Lights provides family entertainment for all ages, including festive activities such as a spectacular light show every half hour at the main gate, which will feature thousands of dancing lights set to holiday music. Kiddieland rides and family themed attractions will be in operation. The Train will be transformed into the North Pole Railway, operated by a very special uniformed train conductor with a magical holiday story to tell. Guests can also enjoy delicious meals and treats from one of the many local food trucks that will be in attendance every night including NoRA’s Cupcakes, The Whey Station, Chompers, and many more.
Guests will be able to step out of the cold and into the warm indoors full of holiday traditions such as cookie decorating, letters to Santa, and gingerbread house making. On the Kiddieland stage, children will enjoy Mrs. Clause’s Story Time. There will be carolers strolling throughout the park, an ice carver creating unique frozen sculptures, and many other holiday festivities. Photos with the big man himself, Santa, is a childhood favorite and is not to be missed in the Winter Wonderland Starlight Theatre.

Admission is $14.99 plus tax per adult, $10.99 plus tax for children ages 4 - 10, and free for children 3 and under. Platinum and Diamond Season Pass holders receive free admission with their 2016 or 2017 pass. 2017 Platinum Passes are being offered at the park at a special sale price of $79.99 plus tax.
