Holland & Hart Attorneys Named American Bar Foundation Fellows
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 19, 2014 -- Three Holland & Hart LLP attorneys have been inducted as Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, bringing the total number of fellows representing Holland & Hart to 15.
The three new fellows are Rebecca Dow, Beat Steiner, and Maureen Witt. They join existing fellows Michael S. Beaver, John R. Maxfield, Constance Akridge, Cole A. Wist, B. Newal Squyres, Marcy G. Glenn, C. Jean Stewart, Jane Michaels, David Butler, Robert R. Keatinge, Timothy A. Lukas, and Jeanne M. Bender, all from Holland & Hart.

The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges and law professors whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession, according to Director of The Fellows Kathleen D. Pace.
Pace said its membership is limited to less than one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.
Dow has more than 30 years of experience representing an array of commercial real estate clients, including those involved with large, master-planned development projects, acquisitions, plus subdivision and entitlement work. She represents owners in commercial construction contracts and architect agreements, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects. She advises clients in all areas of land use and annexation, residential and mixed-use development, public private partnerships, “building green” legal issues, and retail and office leasing.
Steiner has more than 30 years of experience advising his clients on the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of real estate. He deals extensively with clients seeking to do business in the resort industry, and has worked on ski and golf resorts in Colorado, California, Vermont, and New Zealand. He also advises corporate clients frequently in choice of entity, corporate, partnership, and limited liability company organizational matters and represents clients in joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
Witt has more than 33 years of experience that span a wide variety of subject matters including commercial litigation, labor and employment, products liability, business torts, personal injury and medical malpractice, antitrust, oil and gas, toxic torts, and other areas. In the area of labor and employment, Witt has defended employers against a broad range of claims including sex, age, and race discrimination; wrongful discharge; breach of express and implied covenants; and National Railway Labor Act claims. Witt also specializes in product liability defense work representing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, as well as food, agricultural and other product manufacturers and distributors throughout the United States.
