Holton Joins Stanley Consultants as Energy Project Principal
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) November 19, 2015 -- Steve Holton has joined Stanley Consultants as a project principal in the company’s Energy Business Unit. Stanley Consultants, a global consulting engineering firm, provides program management, planning, engineering, environmental, and construction services worldwide.
Based in the firm’s Austin, Texas Office, Holton will focus on business development in the energy market, introducing the company’s power generation and power delivery services to clients in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
His more than 25 years of experience is composed of a unique combination of product, project management, sales, and environmental experience that make him well suited to serve energy clients. He began his career with UK-based GEC, traveling the world installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting a wide range of power generation equipment. “When I transitioned into sales this wealth of product knowledge really helped me to better understand and evaluate client needs and help formulate solutions,” said Holton. In 1995 he moved to Texas to open and establish ALSTOM’s Motor and Generator Houston office.
In 2007, he relocated to Austin to become Director of Business Development at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America. He coordinated the strategic initiatives for the Environmental and Chemical Plant Division, covering all aspects of environmental controls in the industrial and utility business with a focus on carbon reduction technology. Holton comes to Stanley Consultants from AECOM, where he served as Vice President of Business Development at Advatech, a joint venture of AECOM and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.
“Steve has an ideal background for power delivery and power generation business development,” said Steve Schebler, Stanley Consultants Energy Business Leader. “He has a strong technical background which allows him to reach a complete understanding of clients' needs and potential solutions.”
A transplanted Texan, Holton originally hails from a small town in the middle of England called Lutterworth. He has an MBA Professional Diploma in Management from the Open University in Milton Keynes, England, and a diploma in Electrical Power Equipment from the City & Guilds of London Institute at East Warwickshire College in Rugby, England.
