Holy Hog Barbecue Opens New Location In Tampa Bay Times Forum
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- Holy Hog Barbecue opened its third location at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Thursday, September 18. The location opened in time for the preseason Tampa Bay Lightning game versus the Nashville Predators.
Holy Hog, with locations in both South Tampa and West Tampa, was selected for the space by Tampa Bay Times Forum management. The Tampa Bay Times Forum is the 670,000 square foot home of the 2004 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning and five-time Arena Football champion Tampa Bay Storm. The Times Forum is a premier entertainment venue; this year hosting performances of world-famous artists from all genres of music, including Sarah Brightman, Drake, Justin Bieber, Josh Groban, Kanye West and Andrea Bocelli.
“We are excited to have Holy Hog as a new concession concept at the Tampa Bay Times Forum this year. We looked around at several different local concepts and felt their brand and food quality aligns with what our fans expect,” Tampa Bay Times Forum General Manager Darryl Benge said. “Having them on our Bud Light Party Deck enhances an already great experience at the Times Forum.”
Holy Hog’s Tampa Bay Times Forum location smokes all meats on site, and carves whole beef briskets and pork butts at the location. A pit master oversees the tried and true Holy Hog recipes featuring Holy Hog’s own rubs and sauces. The menu focuses on Holy Hog specialties – Texas-style smoked brisket sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, and Tampa-made smoked summer sausage summer hoagies. All three meats are featured in “hat trick” slider combos. All sandwiches are built to order in front of the customer. Sides include
jalapeno macaroni and cheese and corn fritters drizzled with maple syrup and powdered sugar.
“As a Tampa-based business, we share the same commitment to this community demonstrated by the first rate Tampa Bay Lightning ownership and Tampa Bay Times Forum management,” Holy Hog Barbecue owner Danny Hernandez said. “Holy Hog Barbecue is excited to join the Tampa Bay Times Forum and enhance the fan experience with our very best southern barbecue.”
Holy Hog Barbecue’s new location is on the Bud Light Party Deck at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The Bud Light Party Deck is an outdoor open deck overlooking Harbour Island and the downtown Tampa skyline. The Holy Hog Barbecue Tampa Bay Times Forum location will be open two hours prior to all events and will remain open after events.
“We’re looking forward to seeing our Holy Hog fans and introducing new ones to our brand of delicious barbecue at the world class events of the Tampa Bay Times Forum,” Hernandez said.
