Home Dynamix and Amrita Sen Bring a Slice Of India to Its New Bedding Line

Best known for her performance at the 2009 Academy Awards singing “Jai Ho” from the Oscar-winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire, and for her work with Justin Timberlake, Amrita brought her unique design aesthetic and intricate illustrative elements to this collection.
The new bedding collection is inspired by the colors and fashions of Jaipur, India, and by patterns found in romantic corners of the Eastern world. The collection offers three unique looks that bring India’s old majesty and splendor to life. The Varkala collection is inspired by Amrita’s coloring book, Cosmic and Eternal Love, presenting a gorgeous deep blue palette. The Nandini collection uses elements from Amrita’s first illustrated novel Bollydoll, which is rich in floral colors and intricate patterns that are reminiscent of the palaces of India. The third bed, Jaiselmer Tree, is a soft, soothing, spa-like palette of grey earth-tones, invoking peace and harmony.

About Amrita Sen
Amrita is a muti-talented artist who debuted her illustrations at last year’s Art Basel in Miami, sponsored by Illy Coffee and presented by Timbaland. She was trained as a visual artist but also holds degrees from The Wharton School of Business and an MBA from Harvard, where she was recently honored as one of the 50 most distinctive female graduates in Harvard Business School history.
