Home Franchise Concepts Enlists Lisa Rosser to Help Match Military Veterans with Business Opportunities
Orange, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) – the parent company of home improvement franchises Budget Blinds and Tailored Living – has enlisted military veteran and veteran business advocate Lisa Rosser to help reach and educate the veteran community on the benefits of owning a franchise business. Using Lisa Rosser’s expert advice, as well as personal and professional experience, HFC hopes to give retired service men and women an exciting new platform where they can apply their military training.
Lisa Rosser served 10 years of active duty in the U.S. Army and was involved in several military engagements, including the Gulf War. Rosser later served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 12 years, where her career took her from operations to human resource management. Compiling all her personal and professional experiences in the military, Lisa Rosser founded The Value of a Veteran in 2007; an organization that teaches businesses principles in veteran hiring and retention. Today, Lisa takes part in workshops, seminars, and consulting engagements for programs that help build futures for veterans such as the VetFran program from the International Franchise Association.
“Working together with HFC, we can inform more veterans on the benefits of owning their own franchise business and ultimately open the door to a fulfilling career path for them after active service,” said Lisa Rosser. “Veterans have so much to offer the business world because of their military experience. Their focus and desire to succeed make them outstanding candidates for on opportunity such as this.”
Lisa Rosser was primarily brought on board to provide strategic direction to HFC’s Million Dollar Franchise Event, which launched on Veteran’s Day November 11, 2013. The event seeks to honor veterans and make the American Dream of owning a business possible for them by granting substantial discounts off the purchase of a Budget Blinds or Tailored Living franchise system. With a history of supporting veterans and military-related causes, HFC seeks to grant at least 30 franchises to veterans totaling over 1 million dollars in discounts.
“The Million Dollar Franchise Event is our way of giving back to the military men and women that have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Chad Hallock, CEO of Home Franchise Concepts. “We believe the discipline, determination, and confidence they have gained during active duty has prepared them for a successful career as franchise business owners. With Lisa’s unique background and skill-set, we hope to get that message across to veterans of all backgrounds and help them reach success by taking charge of their futures through business ownership.”
