HomeAid America Receives Gifts from Masco Corporation Foundation and Delta Faucet Company
Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- HomeAid America, a nonprofit organization that provides housing to organizations helping the homeless throughout the country, is proud to announce that it is the beneficiary of a $25,000 grant from the Masco Corporation Foundation for 2017 and has also received a donation of $25,000 from Delta Faucet Company, one of Masco’s business units.
HomeAid America has been the recipient of Masco Corporation Foundation grants for the past 15 years, totaling $475,000. These grants help HomeAid oversee its programs which: 1) build housing and other facilities for homelessness service providers, and 2) undertake community outreach activities to provide facility renovation or operational assistance for the programs of these service providers. “HomeAid has been a true collaborator with Masco in its efforts to provide safe housing for individuals and families experiencing poverty and domestic violence,” stated Keith Allman, Masco’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “HomeAid is a strong steward and partner in helping to eradicate homelessness across our nation.”
This year, the Masco Corporation Foundation grant was augmented by another $25,000 gift from one of Masco’s business units, Delta Faucet Company. Masco is represented on the HomeAid America Board of Directors by Jon Dartt, VP of Sales for Delta Faucet Company. “The benefits that HomeAid is providing for homeless individuals and families is fantastic and it’s a privilege for me to give back to those in need as well as use my industry experience and relationships to get more Masco companies involved,” said Dartt.
HomeAid shelter projects are built for charities helping the homeless in its 17 chapters’ communities. These charities provide support services that help residents move toward self-sufficiency, such as education and job-skills training, financial counseling, and both physical and emotional support.
HomeAid also continues to receive in-kind or deeply discounted product for its building projects from several of Masco’s brands in addition to Delta® faucets. These include Behr®paint and Milgard® windows and doors. These product donations from Masco and other building industry partners allow HomeAid to build housing for the homeless at a fraction of the normal cost, on average for 50 cents on the dollar.
HomeAid America CEO Peter Simons said, “Masco continues to show its amazing generosity for our cause through this year’s grant and its ongoing support of HomeAid. We are honored for the faith they have shown in us to help the homeless around the country, and we are proud of our 28-year history of doing just that.”
