Homes for the Holidays Event in Beaufort South Carolina, Voted Happiest Seaside Town in America
Beaufort, South Carolina (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- If only finding the perfect Thanksgiving turkey was as fun as house hunting in Beaufort, South Carolina during the holidays. While the rest of the country is preparing Thanksgiving Dinner, the Happiest Seaside Town in South Carolina is preparing to show off their finest homes and Beaufort SC real estate developments before this year’s Turkey Day! Baby Boomers can take a break from the family festivities and take a look at the available properties in this adorable southern community all decked out in the holiday spirit.
On Saturday Nov. 23 and Sunday Nov. 24, Downtown Beaufort’s Point will be the proud host of the 12th Annual Homes for the Holidays event. Homes for the Holidays is one of the most anticipated events of the year in this seaside town and five iconic homes will be featured along with the historic refurbished St. Peters Chapel of Holy Cross. Residents of the surrounding neighborhoods and the notoriously beautiful Coosaw Point homes can gain some inspiration from this amazing home tour.
Relocating Baby Boomers can use this opportunity to explore the area more and meet the locals to see if Beaufort South Carolina is as friendly as people say.
This annual home tour reflects the tradition of the Happiest Seaside Town and the magic of the holidays, while giving back to the community. The proceeds of the annual Homes for the Holidays event will be donated to the St. Peter’s catholic School’s Tuition Assistance Fund. Since the beginning of this event, twelve years ago, the fund has increased to approximately $500,000 and helps more than 40% of the school’s families.
Residents of the Beaufort SC real estate developments can take notes on the extravagant designer holiday decor of the showcased homes. In fact, designers such as Maggie Tucker Designs, Ashley Rhodes Interiors, Carol Waters, Virginia Rhodes and Maggie Engstrom of Sweet Bay will be showing off their signature holiday styles throughout the tour of Beaufort’s Point. Along with the fabulous design decor, the home tour will show attendees the new construction and renovations of these properties, while also pointing out how the community and property owners respected the historical aspects of the homes. Tickets are available at the local Beaufort businesses like Sweet Bay and Laura Tucker Design.
While attendees can spend two afternoons touring these one-hundred year-old homes, they can also dedicate some time researching the local neighborhoods and inquire about the beautiful Coosaw Point homes.
This Beaufort SC waterfront community is an ideal place to settle down, complete with gorgeous sound views, open green space and a variety of fitness amenities and social activities.
