Hoop Group Lehigh Valley Showcase to Take Place Sunday, January 25th
Allentown, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) January 22, 2015 -- The Lehigh Valley Hoop Group Showcase is a high school basketball tradition that now enters its 20th year. It flaunts the Lehigh Valley’s premier basketball talent, and brings in teams from outside the area and state, to share in the exhilarating atmosphere of Lehigh Valley High School Hoops. This year’s showcase is set for Sunday January 25th, at Parkland High School.
Every year, the Hoop Group Lehigh Valley Showcase pulls some of the best talent from Pennsylvania and surrounding states. The event hosted numerous NBA players during their high school years including Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers), Luol Deng (Miami Heat), Tyler Ennis (Phoenix Suns), JR Smith (Cleveland Cavaliers), Tyreke Evans (New Orleans Pelicans), Ty Lawson (Denver Nuggets), Tristan Thompson (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Jameer Nelson (Boston Celtics)
Tip off is set for noon as Scranton Prep will take on Pennsylvania power Roman Catholic. The second game features local favorite against national power-house, Neuman Goretti. The third game features the host school Parkland versus Susquehanna. In the nightcap top teams Westtown and Chester face off.

About the Field:
This year’s field is an all Pennsylvania event featuring seven teams ranked in the top 30 in the state according to Maxpreps.com. Roman Catholic comes in ranked #11 in the country. The individual talent is special as well, with a number of players already committed or being recruited by Division 1 schools.
