Hope Animal Rescues Wins Synthetic Turf International’s Better Play & Recreation Contest
(PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Hope Animal Rescues - a no-kill animal rescue in Godfrey, Illinois that has saved the lives of thousands of dogs - has won Synthetic Turf International’s Better Play & Recreation Contest. The non-profit organization will receive the grand prize of a synthetic turf installation worth up to $50,000, which will conserve resources while providing a more sanitary outdoor environment for the animals they serve.
“Our volunteers and adopters were over the moon excited about winning this contest,” explained Jackie Spiker, Co-Founder of Hope Animal Rescues. “Having the synthetic turf for our pets will help us reduce maintenance costs, as we were spending over $300.00 per month watering sod, and give the dogs a great play area in which to run and enjoy!”
Synthetic Turf International (STI) launched its Better Play & Recreation Contest to recognize non-profit groups that work tirelessly to make a positive difference in their communities. Nearly 4,000 votes were received online during the contest’s public voting period, with Hope Animal Rescues garnering over 40% of the total vote. Their new synthetic turf pet recreation area will be installed at the end of September, 2013.
