Hope for Henry Names Salvador Briman to Board of Directors
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 15, 2016 -- Salvador Briman, Mexican businessman and philanthropist, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Washington, DC-based Hope for Henry Foundation. Briman, CEO of World Champions for Hope, has a charitable career mentoring and supporting at-risk youth and athletes that parallels his tremendous record of success in the business world.
“Salvador’s commitment to the ill and less-fortunate and his dedication to ensuring transformative experiences for young people through exposure to art, sport and champion athletes is incredibly similar to what drives Hope for Henry,” said Laurie Strongin, Executive Director, Hope for Henry Foundation. “The boxing champions with whom Salvador works so closely are super heroes in the eyes of the pediatric patients served by Hope for Henry. We are excited to have Salvador bring his energy and his boxers to our fight for sick kids.”
An athlete himself and influential figure in boxing, Salvador Briman is an advisor to the President of the World Boxing Council (WBC). In that capacity he has an impact on all policy and was influential in creating the first ever pension fund for retired and needy boxers within the 165 countries under WBC leadership. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Mexican Museum (San Francisco), and the boards of the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation and Give to Give Foundation.
