Hope For The Warriors Provides Support for 2015 Hidden Heroes Coalition Summit
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) May 28, 2015 -- Hope For The Warriors® is proud to support the Elizabeth Dole Foundation’s 2015 Hidden Heroes Coalition Summit with a $25,000 grant. The Hidden Heroes Coalition Summit honors those caring for wounded service members and veterans, and raises awareness and support for these Hidden Heroes. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.
The Elizabeth Dole Foundation welcomed more than 70 military and veteran caregiver Fellows to this year’s Summit. Fellows fulfill a two-year commitment as a resource and advocate for fellow military caregivers nationwide, giving voice to military caregivers by advocating on their behalf for providers to fill the gap in services available to them. Hope For The Warriors® partnered with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation to support the Summit with a grant of $25,000. The grant covered hotel expenses for the summit.
“When my Foundation needed support for the hospitality of America’s military caregivers, we turned to Hope For The Warriors®, and they responded immediately,” said Senator Elizabeth Dole. “Their generosity provided a home away from home for these hidden heroes who came to Washington to advocate on behalf of the nation’s 5.5 million military and veteran caregivers. Our heartfelt thanks to Hope For The Warriors® for its continuing commitment to provide direct impact in the lives of America’s military families—we look forward to growing our collaborative partnership in the years ahead.”
“Hope For The Warriors® is proud to support military and veteran caregivers through the 2015 Hidden Heroes Summit,” said Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® President. “This connection will strengthen the relationship between Hope For The Warriors®, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, and the caregivers we collectively impact through our aligned missions.”
Senator Elizabeth Dole founded the Fellowship in 2012, and it has since grown in both size and ambition.
The mission of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation is to uplift American military and veteran caregivers by strengthening the services afforded to them through innovation, evidence-based research, and collaboration.
