Horyou's Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum - Shaping Better Times to Come
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 23, 2015 -- Horyou, the Social Network for Social Good, and the Horyou Foundation will host the second edition of the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, Switzerland, Oct. 23-25.
SIGEF is an annual international event that gathers non-profit organizations, renowned speakers, social entrepreneurs and the general public for three days of dialogue and interaction. It features plenary sessions, cultural events and networking opportunities, as well as NGO and project showcases.
In today's global world, areas such as social empowerment, evenly shared economic growth, gender equality, business ethics, and equal access to water, education, housing and health services need immediate attention. SIGEF 2015’s plenary sessions will explore the social aspects of impact investment, the role of media in today’s society, social entrepreneurship, modern food and agriculture policies, technology supporting social good, international cooperation in science, youth for positive change and transnational distributive strategies.
The first edition of this forum – SIGEF 2014 – took place last year in Geneva and hosted more than 2,500 participants and over 50 NGOs that are active on the Horyou platform. SIGEF 2015 is expected to have a far broader scope and reach, with 5,000 participants, 100 NGOs, 50 international keynote speakers and 50 media partners. This new edition of SIGEF is an open invitation for reflection, dialogue and action in favor of social innovation and social good.
