Hamilton, ON (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- The Nathaniel Hughson Gallery presents Encoding of Quiet Noises, works by Hosanna Salembier, exhibited from February 6 to March 1, 2014. Encoding of Quiet Noises A series of oil paintings composed of smaller groups defining themselves by patterns of space and varying levels of detailing.
Pivoting from the knuckle creating minutely ornamental totemic streams of faces, plant and animal symbols. Emerging into a looser grid mimicking haunting, colourful renditions of earlier characters.
About Hosanna:
The 41 year old artist Hosanna Salembier regards her studio as a lab, approaching creativity with the attentions of a craftsman. Previously a housepainter, she's prepared acres of blankness pivoting from the shoulder. A world void of stimuli yet captivated by martial dexterity. Her pieces reflect and perhaps compensate for imbalances imprinted upon the psyche.
Originally, she resumed painting as a contrivance for fascination, no longer was a search required to find mild temporary provocations. To Hosanna, painting takes time, her intellect devises its own traps, thus allowing her to reverse engineer herself as an equation. Painting landmarks time, the point being to create that which survives the harshest editors, whether they be relatives or scholars.
