Troy, NY (PRWEB) May 14, 2016 -- Hospital marketing specialists Smith & Jones received a Gold and two Silver awards in the 33rd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards for its work with Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH).
A CVPH cancer screening campaign brought home the Gold and Silver awards for a physician referral direct mail piece and radio spot. The goal of the creative was to convince men that getting their colon screened is the “manly” thing to do and that CVPH offers the best options for screening and treatment.
Referring physicians received the direct mail piece, which offered a card trick that works like magic; the ability to save a life. The referral cards were distributed to patients and reminded physicians that the CVPH FitzPatrick Cancer Center was the best option for their patients due to its complete services and proximity. The radio spot drove to a landing page where users could take an online quiz to see if they were at risk for colon cancer.
Additionally, an exam room poster for a CVPH orthopedic campaign received a Silver award. The print ad featured an image of a dog at the bottom of a stairway and the headline read “When did walking the dog become such a sore subject?”
The Healthcare Advertising Awards is one of the oldest and largest healthcare advertising competitions in the world. The winners were determined by a national panel of judges, who rate entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact. This year 360 entries received Gold awards and 314 entries received Silver.
