Hot Chocolate Walk for Little City Provides Family Fun While Supporting Individuals with Disabilities
Palatine, IL (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Registration for the third annual Hot Chocolate Walk for Little City on Nov. 3 in Grant Park is well underway. This Walk, which coincides with the popular Hot Chocolate 15/5k Race, benefits Little City Foundation by generating awareness and much-needed funds for children and adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Hot Chocolate Walk for Little City is a family-friendly event, offering many activities for children of all ages. The excitement begins prior to the Walk at the Race Expo where walkers can visit the world’s largest mug of hot chocolate, a Chocolate Shop and bouncy house. The fun continues after the Walk at the post-race party which includes a large Kid Zone, magicians, face painting and much more. Strollers are welcome on the walk route and children under the age of 12 are encouraged to participate as junior walkers.
“We always look forward to the Hot Chocolate Walk for Little City, it’s truly a perfect opportunity to have fun while participating in a fundraiser that supports individuals with disabilities in your community,” commented Little City Executive Director Shawn E. Jeffers.
This year, the walk course is 2.5 miles long and will take participants along Chicago’s lakefront. Registration for the Hot Chocolate Walk for Little City is still open and available online. All walkers will enjoy the same perks as runners, including a goodie bag with a wicking fleece hoodie and a finishers mug with chocolate fondue and hot chocolate at the post-race party.

Last November, 3,000 walkers joined the thousands of runners in Grant Park to raise $50,000 for individuals at Little City.
