(PRWEB) February 23, 2015 -- Hotze Health & Wellness Center (HHWC), a world leader in the alternative health care industry, announces that it now offers specialized dried blood spot and saliva hormone profile testing for its patients in order to provide optimal diagnosis and treatment.
Hormone testing can be very useful when there is a confusing clinical presentation or slow response to the treatment with bioidentical hormone replacement. Hormone treatment still relies heavily on clinical symptoms; however, testing gives additional insight into each individual’s specific needs.
HHWC offers female and male hormone testing, and a four part adrenal stress profile saliva test as needed, which come in a variety of hormone testing profiles, including saliva only, blood spot only, or a combination.
The hormone testing involves a minimally invasive home test kit by ZRT Laboratory. The dried blood spot and saliva kits can easily be sent home with the patient (or mailed to them) for their convenience. The dried blood spot sample is collected by a finger prick similar to how a diabetic patient checks their blood sugar. The saliva sample is collected in a tube. The kits contain everything needed to collect the samples and mail them directly to the lab at ZRT.
After the test is reviewed by a medical provider, one of the pharmacists or nurses from HHWC will review the results with the patient and give customized recommendations from the doctor.
