Houston Bakery Partners with Museum of Natural Science
Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 02, 2015 -- With summer in full force, Three Brothers Bakery has teamed up with The Houston Museum of Natural Science to encourage customers, and their kids, to engage in educational summer activities, while enjoying a treat or two along the way. For the month of July, Three Brothers Bakery and The Houston Museum of Natural Science will be working together to provide discounted entry to the museum with the purchase of one of the bakery’s dinosaur or butterfly cookies, with 50% of the sales of these cookies going to support the museum.
From July 6 until July 31, customers can visit any Houston-area Three Brothers Bakery location to pick up one of its decorated butterfly or sprinkled dinosaur cookies, and by posting a photo of the cookie to social media channels, they can gain discounted access to The Houston Museum of Natural Science. In turn, 50% of the sales of the bakery’s dinosaur and butterfly cookies will go directly to the museum for the duration of the promotion.
“The Houston Museum of Natural Science inspires so much curiosity, and we wanted to work with the organization to invite our customers to escape the summer heat with a visit to the museum,” says Bobby Jucker, bakery co-owner and fifth generation baker. ”The museum’s ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ feature and Butterfly Center are a perfect match for our dinosaur and butterfly cookies, and we are so excited to be partnering with an organization that focuses on educating the youth in our community in an engaging way.”
Anyone can post a photo of his or her dinosaur or butterfly cookie in order to participate in the promotion. Three Brothers Bakery customers simply post the photo to Instagram, tagging both the bakery and the museum. They will then receive a discount code from Three Brothers Bakery through a direct message to enjoy an educational afternoon at The Houston Museum of Natural Science.
“Partnering with Three Brothers Bakery is a great way for us to interact with the community in a whole new way,” says Latha Thomas, VP of Marketing and Communications at The Houston Museum of Natural Science. “We are thrilled to be working with Three Brothers Bakery to encourage more customers to visit the museum for an enriching summer activity, and are so appreciative of their willingness to donate a portion of the cookie sales to support the museum.”

About Three Brothers Bakery
The traditions of Three Brothers Bakery began in Chrzanow, Poland circa 1825, and were preserved despite the family’s concentration camp imprisonment during the Holocaust. Their miraculous liberation, and subsequent move to Houston, brought Eastern European scratch baking traditions to 4036 S. Braeswood Blvd, 12393 Kingsride Lane, and 4606 Washington Ave where the owners are now proud to call themselves “memory makers who just happen to be bakers.” Perfecting the process for almost 200 years, each day the fifth generation bakers produce mostly dairy-free breads and pastries, cookies, a full line of specialty dessert cakes and pies, as well as custom birthday, special occasion, wedding and groom’s cakes using only the highest quality ingredients.
The Three Brothers Bakery pecan pie was named “the best mail order pecan pie America has to offer” by Country Living magazine, bakery owner, Bobby Jucker competed in the popular ‘Food Network Challenge’ and has been seen on Food Network’s Outrageous Food. Three Brothers won “Best Mail-Order Pies 2012” from Bon Appetit, as well as Modern Baking’s “2013 Retail Bakery of the Year” and was part of The Knot’s “2010-2013 Best of Weddings” and “Hall of Fame” picks. Most recently, Three Brothers Bakery was named #11 in “America’s 50 Best Bakeries” by The Daily Meal, and was awarded the 2013 Jeffrey Butland Family-Owned Business of the Year by the Houston division of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
