Houston Based Dynamics Partner Rand Group Supports 2013 BEARing Gifts Campaign
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- For the 5th consecutive year, Rand Group has participated in the BEARing Gift Campaign, this year expanding the reach from Houston, to also include their Dallas location.
The BEARing Gifts campaign, one of 4 programs put on by BEAResource for CPS Kids, was started as a way to help the almost 17,000 children who become involved with Harris County Child Protective Services annually. These children are often removed from their homes under emergency conditions, and many are lacking the basic necessities they require. BEARing Gifts focuses exclusively on helping these disadvantaged children enjoy the holidays.
Caseworkers create wish lists for the children, and those wish lists are then distributed to local donors, Rand Group being one of those.
For 2013, Rand Group’s Houston location took on more children than ever, a total of 70, providing each child with their top 3 wishes. Rand Group’s Dallas team also joined in through the Buckner BEAR program, and grated the top 3 wishes of 15 local children. In total, Rand Group employees and the company itself purchased 255 gifts, totally approximately $6750, which directly benefitted the children.

This was the largest number of children we’ve provided gifts for yet, and the staff response was outstanding. The holidays are such a magical time of year and it’s really important to us that we help these children enjoy them. The staff looks forward to this event each year and we really pull together to get the gifts purchased and ready for delivery. BEARing Gifts is one of our favorite charitable programs and it really helps us embrace the true meaning of the holidays," says Randy Wilcox, Firm Administrator at Rand Group.
