Houston Real Estate Brokerage (ULR) Hosts Fall Food Drive for Women’s Home
Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- Urban Leasing & Realty (ULR) agents will host their first food drive to benefit The Women’s Home from Nov. 4-12. To kick off the food drive, ULR agents will be dropping off informational flyers and reusable grocery bags to residents of the Cherryhurst, Park Civic and Vermont Commons neighborhoods.
In an effort to help The Women’s Home during a season of need, ULR will be collecting as much food as possible with help from the community. For those who do not live in the designated neighborhoods, ULR still encourages their participation by bringing donations to 1901 Vermont St, Houston, TX 77019.
ULR agents will return to residents’ homes between 5 p.m. -7 p.m. on the 11th and 12th of November to collect donations. In the event residents are not home, donations may be left on the porch for pick up.
“ULR is a neighborhood real estate brokerage and we are excited to get our neighborhood involved in helping a community cause like the Women’s Home,” Jessica St. John, managing broker and co-owner of Urban Leasing & Realty.

The Women’s Home pantry needs canned and dry food goods as well as toiletries. These are the most requested items: canned green bean, green peas, spinach, mixed vegetables, canned meat and fish, multipurpose household cleaner, dishwashing liquid, paper towels and toilet paper.
ULR is a Houston real estate agency that is heavily involved in the community. This is the first year that ULR has held a food drive on behalf of The Women’s Home but the agency has supported other Women’s Home events in the past.
“Although this is our inaugural year, we plan on making this an annual tradition,” said Jessica St. John.
