Houston Texans Recognize First Community Credit Union for Reaching 100,000 Members
Houston, TX (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- First Community Credit Union has reached a big milestone by reaching 100,000 members. To recognize and honor such a great accomplishment, the Houston Texans presented First Community Credit Union with a Houston Texans custom jersey plaque (see photo). FCCU is the “Official Credit Union of the Houston Texans” and financial home of Houston Texans Linebacker Brian Cushing.
The growth of FCCU’s membership base has gained public recognition with their community outreach programs like Stars in the Classroom, and exclusive access to a Houston Texans branded debit card with a Texans Checking account.
The Stars in the Classroom program recognized 10 teachers in the Houston community in 2013. The deserving teachers received Houston Texans game tickets, sideline passes to a home game, and an autographed jersey. Additionally, FCCU spokesperson and Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing made a special appearance to the Houston area schools and presented the prizes to the teacher. The student that nominated each teacher received a signed football. The program will start back up in August 2014. First Community Credit Union started out as a credit union for teachers in Spring Branch ISD and now reaches out to all of Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery Counties.
