Houston Texas Consulting Walks to Raise Awareness for Alzheimer’s
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- Houston Texas Consulting joins The Alzheimer’s Association to continue the fight against Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in hundreds of communities across the country, this inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to continue the fight against Alzheimer's.
Every 68 seconds someone develops Alzheimer's and more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
Currently, there is no cure for Alzheimer's. Researchers are looking for new treatments to alter the course of the disease and improve the quality of life for people with dementia. Today, there is a worldwide effort under way to find better ways to treat the disease, and prevent it from developing. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. Houston Texas Consulting, an outsourced sales and marketing company in Houston, Texas took part in the "Walk to End Alzheimer’s" held at Minute Maid Park, downtown Houston. The team at Houston Texas Consulting were excited to gather for the fight against Alzheimer’s. Houston Texas Consulting was able to raise a few hundred dollars for the cause, adding to the long list of donors. There was a tremendous turnout for the walk. The team at Houston Texas Consulting, are now looking forward to next year’s walk and would like to double the amount raised as a team.
