How a Small New Hampshire Charity Won $5,000
Concord, NH (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- The Grand Prize winner of the Grappone Cares Contest is Sullivan County Humane Society. If you care about your favorite pet as much as they do then you will be happy to know they won a $5,000 donation from the Grappone Automotive Group. Stay tuned to Grappone’s Facebook page to see them present the big $5,000 check in person to Sullivan County Friday, July 19th.
Since 2011 Grappone has hosted Grappone Cares Contest on their Facebook page. Each year Grappone fans choose the most deserving local New Hampshire charities. Past winners include the Live and Let Live Farm and Manchester Animal Shelter.
This year the Sullivan County Humane Society won Grappone Cares July Session with more than 700 votes. To continue the excitement Grappone hosted a live Google+ broadcast to announce to the world that the Sullivan County Humane Society was our grand prize winner.
Sullivan County Humane Society is a feline-only shelter that has cared for over 130 cats and adopted out over 90. They opened their doors on August 6, 2012. They also run a pet food bank program that has helped over 50 families feed their animals. They brought low-cost spay and neuter clinics for cats that have fixed over 450 cats.
A total of 44 New Hampshire non-profits participated in Grappone Cares July Session. The remaining 43 charities are automatically re-entered and eligible for the third round. There is still time for you to nominate your favorite cause. Additional nominations will be accepted from July 16th to July 19th.
This fun contest is held on Grappone Automotive Group’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/grapponeauto. Voting is held from July 23 to August 2. The charity with the most votes will receive $5,000. Voters are allowed one vote every 24-hour period.
Any charity that is nominated must be 501 (c)(3) in the state of New Hampshire. Any charity that has was Grappone Cares/Toyota Match Program in the past is not eligible to win.
Grappone Automotive Group and the Toyota Match Program partner up to make this contest possible. Grappone uses this contest as a chance to generate awareness of the great charities in New Hampshire.
