HPI Receives UL Certification for Industrial Control Panels
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) June 25, 2015 -- HPI, an international provider of custom-engineered, rotating equipment solutions and services announced today that the company is now UL certified for the manufacture of industrial control panels and enclosures in both ordinary and hazardous locations.
The UL certification is granted after satisfying standards outlined by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a global independent safety science company offering expertise across commercial, industrial and other strategic businesses.
HPI earned the UL certification after satisfying requirements outlined in both UL standards 508A- Industrial Control Panels and 698A- Industrial Control Panels Relating to Hazardous (Classified) Locations.
Going forward, all HPI manufactured control panels and enclosures will contain the UL mark. The UL mark provides customers with peace of mind as the mark represents adherence with UL outlines standards and demonstrates HPI’s efforts to limit reasonably foreseen product risks.
As a UL certified entity, HPI will also be subject to regular inspections to ensure that the company is following the correct procedures to tests its industrial control panels.
This includes:
- Industrial Control Panels intended for flame safety supervision of combustible fuel type equipment
- Elevator Control
- Crane or Hoist Control
- Service Equipment Use
- Marine Use
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment
- Control of Industrial Machinery, including metalworking machine tools, power press controls and plastic injection molding machinery
