HSSK Adds International Energy Capabilities with New Practice Group
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) November 17, 2014 -- Hill Schwartz Spilker Keller LLC is pleased to announce the expansion of its practice with the addition of a group of experienced consultants in the energy and international arbitration fields. Wayne Wilson and Casey Ballard, along with their staff, joined HSSK from UHY Advisors, Inc. on November 15, 2014.
For almost 20 years, Wayne Wilson has been providing international consulting services and expert testimony to the energy industry in a number of areas, including finance, pricing, organizational management, accounting, statistics and risk management. Wilson built his practice group with expertise in crude and natural gas reserves valuation, pricing and accounting for production and refined products, transportation pricing, transfer pricing, royalty valuations, gas marketing best-practices, valuation of energy companies, valuation and accounting for derivatives for natural gas and natural gas liquids, and the use of mark-to-market accounting. His group’s expertise in the power industry includes valuations of power projects, valuations and accounting analysis of financial derivative positions for power, contract audits of local distribution companies, power marketing best practices (including financial, accounting, and managerial), and accounting for power marketing operations.
Wayne received his master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1992, and worked for the international accounting and consulting firms Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte, LLP before moving completely into the consulting practice.
As co-leader of the practice with Wayne, Casey Ballard brings 15 years of experience in the energy industry to HSSK’s practice. Ballard received her Master’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1999. She has since worked as a consultant for Deloitte and Navigant Consulting in addition to UHY. Her background in the energy field includes working for domestic and international clients in performing damages calculations, lost profits calculations, valuations, investigations and providing expert testimony.
