Human Capital Institute Announces Details for Global Workforce Planning Week
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), the global institution for strategic talent management, today announced that it will be hosting its annual Global Workforce Planning Week, to be held in Washington, D.C from Monday, February 10 through Friday, February 14, 2014.
Although workforce planning is essential to organizational success, more than 70 percent of organizations lack a true workforce plan. While HR professionals increasingly recognize the need to transform their workforce planning approach, they often find that adoption of a comprehensive strategy is prevented by internal obstacles. Fortunately, many of these barriers are tactical in nature and require small adjustments rather than major changes.
During Global Workforce Planning Week, HCI will host two events to help professionals – wherever they fall on the workforce planning expertise spectrum – learn best practices and innovative strategies to ensure success.
2014 Workforce Planning and Analytics Conference
Held from Monday, February 10 through Wednesday, February 12, HCI’s 2014 Workforce Planning and Analytics Conference is designed to help attendees develop effective and actionable strategic workforce plans that can be implemented at their organizations. With a comprehensive agenda of sessions led by some of the most innovative leaders and thinkers in workforce planning, the event will highlight strategies that can help any organization kick start workforce planning processes, develop plans useful now and for the future, and build an ideal and well-balanced workforce.
The 2014 Workforce Planning an Analytics conference will take place at the Westin Alexandria in Alexandria, Virginia. Additional information, including registration details, can be accessed at: http://www.hci.org/hr-conferences/2014-Workforce-Planning-Analytics/overview.
Strategic Workforce Planning Certification Course
HCI will offer its Strategic Workforce Planning Certification Course from Thursday, February 13 through Friday, February 14. The program goes far beyond traditional manpower planning to provide attendees with a qualitative decision framework that aligns workforce variables with their broader organizational strategy. Participants gain the knowledge and best practices needed to determine the most critical competencies for high performance and growth, develop the agility to respond to rapid change with comprehensive contingency planning, and identify and execute against specific workforce, management and leadership gaps.
Upon completion of the course, participants will achieve HCI’s Strategic Workforce Planning Certification, the most recognized business credential for knowledge of strategic workforce planning models and concepts. The course will take place at the Washington DC MicroTek at 1110 Vermont Avenue, NW. Additional details are available at: http://www.hci.org/hr-training-courses/strategic-workforce-planning.
"The ability to achieve effective workforce planning has emerged as a leading imperative for many organizations. Companies are pressed to align workforce needs with business demands and strategies and are seeking direction on how to best achieve this goal," said Carl Rhodes, HCI chief executive officer. "We are excited to deliver Global Workforce Planning Week, and to provide HR practitioners with expert insight and in-depth training to help them work collaboratively with executive leadership and ensure optimal workforce planning. As a result, attendees will be able to return to their organizations with the knowledge to develop an agile, high-performing workforce."
