Hundreds of New Kosher Foods, Spirits, Wines & Products to Be Introduced, Featuring Israel Pavilion & Exhibitors from Around the Globe; A Look Back at 25 Years
Portland, Maine (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- Kosherfest, the world's largest kosher food and beverage trade show, celebrates its 25th anniversary next week (October 29 - 30 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ). The kosher industry has evolved dramatically over the last 25 years -- growing from a few thousand certified kosher items to more than 150,000. Today, 92 countries produce kosher food products and ingredients. Many major food companies have changed their processes and ingredients to get kosher certification and consumers, both Jews and non-Jews, seek the kosher symbol on the food products they buy, relating it to health and safety.
"Years ago you wouldn't find kosher truffle oil or kosher balsamic vinegar, but today the vast array of kosher products introduced each year includes gourmet, fat-free, gluten-free, ready-to-bake, heat 'n serve, and even fake bacon," said Menachem Lubinsky, who founded the first Kosherfest, which was actually a consumer show, and is the co-producer of Kosherfest 2013. "It's no longer just about kugel, matzah balls and white fish. Kosher has become a worldwide phenomenon."
We welcome you to attend the 25th Kosherfest and speak to Lubinsky about the changes in kosher over this quarter of a century.
