Hunt Mortgage Group Hires Paul Weissman to Head Originations for Affordable Housing
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 24, 2015 -- Hunt Mortgage Group, a commercial real estate lender, announced today that Paul Weissman has been hired to lead the firm’s Affordable Housing Originations effort. As a Senior Managing Director, Weissman will be tasked with building and leading the affordable housing originations team from the Firm’s Denver office.
Hunt Mortgage Group is long-established in the affordable housing debt and equity finance markets, having sourced and originated affordable loans since the 1980’s.

Weissman comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from Dougherty & Company/Dougherty Mortgage where he was a Senior Vice President. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at PNC Financial Service, and the first person to originate for both debt and equity platforms.

Earlier in his career Weissman served as Director, Senior Vice President at Credit Suisse/Column Financial, Vice President at Newman & Associates, Inc., and Director at Simpson Housing Solutions, LLC. He earned a B.A. in Foreign Language & Literature from Lewis & Clark College, an MBA from the University of Colorado Graduate School of Business, and a JD from the University of Colorado School of Law. Weissman is fluent in written and spoken French, proficient in written and spoken Russian, and proficient in spoken Mandarin Chinese.
