The benefits of nitrogen-filled tires for vehicle owners include tires that last 50% longer and fail 75% less often. For the environment, this means that fewer tires are disposed of. Through the new partnership, NitroFill is planting a tree for each vehicle with nitrogen-filled tires that Huntington Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram sells. In 2015, 12,000 trees were planted as a result of the partnership.
Plants use the carbon in the environment to produce energy and make the air cleaner during the process. This process is a carbon sink, offsetting some emissions created from vehicles.
In California, 40 million tires are disposed of each year. Some are recycled, but most are burned, which creates considerable amounts of air pollution in the process. Huntington Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram hopes that by selling vehicles with nitrogen-filled tires, they can reduce the amount of pollution being released into the environment.
