Husband-Wife Duo Team Up to Open Window Genie Franchise in Chagrin Falls

Long time Cleveland area resident Jim Kenyon is the owner. Before purchasing his Window Genie franchise, Kenyon says he spent 30 years, “climbing the corporate ladder in HR.” After experiencing a few years he describes as “rocky” as a result of the great recession, Kenyon decided to leave his job as HR leader for one of the largest window and vinyl siding manufacturers and pursue a different opportunity. He soon found that the best job opportunities for him would require excessive travel or complete relocation; something he was not willing to do after calling greater Cleveland home for many years. Taking a leap of faith, Kenyon pursued business ownership. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, about one in every 10 Americans is self-employed; that equals about 14.6 million people in the U.S. Kenyon decided he was ready to be his own boss, carve his own path to success and create a better work-life balance so he engaged with Jim Hegarty, franchise coach with FranNet.
