HydroWorx Webinar Explores Impact of Aquatics on Clinical Physical Therapy Practices

Stanich’s professional background includes her current position at Michael Johnson Performance in McKinney, TX, where she has been a team member since January. She graduated from The University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science, and earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Oklahoma. Since graduating, she has received her License in Athletic Training and become a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties of the American Physical Therapy Association.
During the webinar, Stanich will address several key topics, including:
- An overview of the available research on aquatic therapy’s benefits, including its positive impacts on patient care.
- A discussion of the considerations that affect in the inclusion of aquatics in a rehab or performance setting.
- A review of how aquatics can be used with patients and clients with shoulder, back, hip, knee and systemic conditions, as well as conditions that respond most favorably to aquatic therapy techniques.
- Insight into Stanich’s preferred protocols for aquatics, including the duration, intensity, integration and progression of aquatic therapy programs.
At the conclusion of the webinar, Stanich will share case studies with images and videos for clarification and further conversation. Participants will have time at the end of “The Impact of Aquatics on the Clinical Practice of Physical Therapy” to ask questions.
