Hyperoptic Hits Six Figure Milestone

It has today reached a key milestone - passing over 100,000 units, across over 1,000 sites, giving consumers access to the fastest broadband speeds in the UK.
According to the last report by the FTTH Council Europe, less than 1% of the UK has access to Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband, which means the UK doesn’t even feature on global rankings. While Ofcom reports that 75% of the UK has access to Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) broadband, FTTC is an ‘up to’ technology. Maximum advertised speed a consumer can receive with FTTC is 76Mbps – but in reality average speeds are only 80% of advertised speeds. With FTTH, consumers get what they expect and need.
