Jim is the principal of Active Design Systems, a consultancy focused on all aspects of small group, group fitness, personal training and indoor cycle programs. With nearly three decades of international experience as both multi-facility club owner/operator and vendor/service provider, he understands the climate, operational considerations and challenges facing today’s fitness facility owners. Paired with his previous tenures with a leading fitness accessory and soft goods manufacturer (SPRI Products), group fitness leader (Les Mills) and functional design and flooring manufacturer (PAVIGYM), he has the know-how to deliver best in class solutions and best practices for profitability to facility owner/operators worldwide.
Declan Condron has joined Hyperwear as Director of Education and National Accounts.
Declan is originally from Dublin, Ireland where he grew up playing Gaelic football and soccer. He moved to the US over 20 years ago to attend college where he played four years of scholarship soccer, winning a National Championship in 1999. In college, Declan directed his passion for sports and fitness into his studies, receiving his MS & BS in Exercise Physiology. During his masters degree he entered into the strength and conditioning field, working with athletes across many sports. At this time he also become a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and a Certified Olympic Weightlifting Coach through USAW. Along with athletic strength and conditioning, Declan also branched out into personal training. With almost 20 years experience in the fitness industry he has worn many caps; from personal trainer and gym manager to educator and fitness business owner. Over the years he has coached clients of all ages and abilities, helping them reach their fitness goals & fulfill their athletic potential. He has also taught many trainers and fitness professionals in both the science and the business of personal training. Declan is a co-founder and creator of PumpOne, a fitness technology company specializing in multi-platform digital training solutions including the FitnessBuilder app. He has also worked at Equinox Fitness in NYC and World Gym & Gold's Gym in CT.
Brooke Maguire has joined Hyperwear as Marketing Manger.
Brooke comes from a diverse background of both creative and fitness. Upon graduating from the University of Delaware as a Varsity member of the Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field programs she moved to San Francisco, CA. There Levi Strauss & Co brought her on as a graphic designer/production artist from 2009-2012. In 2013 she moved to Austin to start her own business, a bolo tie company, called Magsy Urban Bolo. Urban bolo ties are available online (urbanbolo.com) and at multiple stores in the Texas area. While running Magsy she became a CrossFit Coach at The Yard – 1602 CrossFit in 2014. Here she currently leads and programs high intensity workouts for paramedics and firefighters. Being passionate and well-versed in business marketing and the areas of fitness and health Hyperwear hired her to continue elevating the brand.
